-For the first time in a Bethesda game you can create a Skinny, Muscular, or Fat character.
-The animations are really slick, the best I've seen from Bethesda so far.
-The gunplay feels nice and tight, and you now have the option to melee attack with firearms.
-There's tons of crafting in the game from cooking to chemistry to upgrading gear to building.
-Different armor is available for each limb, it's not just bodysuits like in Fallout 3.
-The perk chart is well done and perks have requirements before they can be levelled up.…Expand

Fallout 4's Automatron DLC released March 22, 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Automatron tells the story of The Mechanist, a villain who rules over an army of bloodthirsty robots.
Automatron introduces new CompanionAda, as well as the ability to customize robots at the Robot Workbench. New Weapons and Story Mode content are also included.
Automatron Walkthrough[edit]
The Automatron DLC includes four complete story missions:
New Companion[edit]
Ava is your new robot companion. An empathetic and friendly robot, Ada is also driven by vengeful emotions. She desires both justice and a reckoning with The Mechanist.
Robot Customization[edit]
At Robot Workbench workstations, players can build new robots and customize others. Using raw materials and parts gained from salvage off robot wrecks, players can customize their robotic creations and Companions, including Curie.
For a complete guide to robot customization, look no further than IGN's Automatron Robot Modding Walkthrough.
New Minigame[edit]
Fallout 4 Automatron contains a new Pip-Boy minigame, simply titled Automatron. Don't miss this clever and enjoyable take on an arcade classic.
Comments
Fallout 4’s first expansion, Automatron, introduces a couple of new mechanics to the post-apocalyptic RPG. The biggest new feature comes in the form of robot companion building. As you hunt down mechanical enemies, you can harvest their parts to build a buddy (or a few buddies) of your own. Like with all crafting in Fallout 4, Automatrons robot building needs a specific station to make the magic happen.

To unlock the Robot Workbench, you’ll first need to complete the first mission of the DLC. It isn’t too difficult, but keep in mind that you should be at least level 15 before you give it a go. You’ll meet Ada after this quest, your new robot buddy, and you can start upgrading her, as long as you have the workbench.
Fallout New Vegas Nexus
Head to one of your settlements and activate the Workshop (the bench used for building houses, defenses, and other structures). Select the Special menu and locate the Robot Workshop. Find a spot big enough to hold this new structure and build it. Simple as that.
You’ll need a lot of resources such as Nuclear Material, Fiber Optics, Steel, and Plastic, so be sure to collect as much as you can to be able to put this new workbench to good use.
